Document GP-0003: Historical record
Three eras. One incident.
ERA I
The Mandate
Genopool Industries S.A. is awarded the terraforming concession for island GP-7: ten climate sectors to render self-stable, maintained by climate pylons. A terraformed sector without fauna collapses, so Programme HELIX designs eight maintenance species in-lab: directed morphogenesis, one species per sector, engineered to spec.
Internal memo, South Archives: the containment margins were reported as ██████ before the first population left the lab.
ERA II
The HELIX Incident
On ██/██/████, containment failed at Site Alpha, the original campus. The HELIX populations dispersed, crossed outside protocol, and their genomes recombined freely. The wild geno pool was born. Site Alpha was evacuated and sealed. The corporation filed the event as an anomaly.
The rupture was predictable and documented. Wild hybridisation produces a genetic diversity the lab ██████████. Specimens born wild dilute ██ liability.
ERA III
The Requalification
The concession requires remediation. Recovery teams found that recaptured specimens, aligned on a track, outperform remediation on every metric the concession measures. The disaster was requalified as a programme. Site Beta (Campus Zero) was built, and the recapture effort was opened to licensed field contractors. That would be you.
The incident was commercially optimal. This sentence is under review.
Hover a redaction to request clearance. Clearance is not granted.

Eight species, engineered then feral
Each species is an endemic sampling bias: a weight on the wild draw, never a re-roll. Rarity is recessive and emergent: tripods, webbed feet and hexapods happen because the genome allows them, not because a store sells them.

Document GP-0055: Containment chart
Ten sectors, one sealed
Climate pylons hold each sector at spec, the reason a frozen lake sits 400 metres from a desert. At the top of every hour a single on-chain seed recalibrates the island: track, spawns, tide, storm corridor. The corporation calls it containment recalibration. Everyone ticks together: provably fair, end to end.
SECTOR 01 · VERDANT Verdant Sector
River plain. Intake sector: first clearance, first capture.
SECTOR 02 · ARIDIS Dust Basin
Rain-shadow desert. Endurance runs and sand storms. Cursor country.
SECTOR 03 · BOREALIS Cryo Ridge
High mountain, source of the river, roof of the underworld.
SECTOR 04 · LITTORA Tidal Flats
Tidal foreshore on a two-hour cycle, locked to the rotation.
SECTOR 05 · GLACIUS Glacius Lake
Over-frozen by Cryo Pylon G-0. Slide physics. Sprinters need not apply.
SECTOR 06 · UMBRA Umbra Grove
Mist forest fed by karst vents. The Black Greenhouses are in there.
SECTOR 07 · HOLLOW Hollow Depths
Karst underworld, lava tubes, service galleries. Endgame shortcuts.
SECTOR 08 · RELIQUARY The Reclaimed
Site Alpha, in ruins. The first track, the South Archives, the lore.
SECTOR 09 · CALDERA Ashfault
Active volcano, origin of the island. Prestige biome.
SECTOR 10 · STAGNIS Mire Sink
Delta marsh, outlet of every drop of water on the island.
SECTOR 00 · SEALED · CLEARANCE PENDING The Crest
Never terraformed. Access denied at every clearance. HELIX-0 is not a recognised designation.
Document GP-0070: Site Beta
Campus Zero
The working hub of the concession, rebuilt at the river source after Site Alpha was sealed. Seven stations, sixteen staff on rotation, one decorative genomic basin. Bathing is prohibited. The corporation declines responsibility for recreational mutation.
Genetics Lab
Dr. Vann scans specimens down to the locus.
Breeding Lab
Dr. Prem informs. He never forbids.
Race Terminal
Coach Ferro reads the hourly seed for you.
Treasury
Mme Bakker watches your money pass.
The Exchange
Tovas prices desire. The Wicks argue about bipeds.
Stable
Veterinarian Q disapproves of nothing, officially.
Supply Depot
Agent Sole recites Article 3 so you do not have to ask.
Document GP-0090: Personnel on record
The staff
Twelve names on the roster. Statements below are transcribed verbatim from shift recordings and filed without comment.
Dr. Ilsa Vann
Director, Genomics Division
"Twelve loci. Four alleles. And you find a way to raise that."
Dr. Prem
Reproductive Compliance
"Form H-77: parental consent. Both parents. Yes, even the tripod."
Supervisor Odum
Dock Chief, Expedition Gate
"Sector 09 is in partial eruption. This is not a reason not to go."
Veterinarian Q
Asset Welfare
"Six legs, zero coordination. I adore it. Do not repeat that."
Coach Ferro
Analyst, Race Terminal
"Glacius this hour. Put the sprinters away. Bring out the tripods."
Cadet Mira
Intake & Tutorial
"The lasso is not for sale. I know. I do not understand it either. It is Article 3."
Agent Sole
Supply Depot
"Everything is known before payment. The surprise is a non-conformity."
Mme Bakker
Teller, Treasury
"The corporation never holds your money. It watches it pass."
Tovas
Broker, The Exchange
"Some specimens are more equal than others. Statistically."
Frida Wick
Collector
"A sprinter in the middle of Glacius season? Genius or bankruptcy."
Ansel Wick
Collector, the other one
""He paid TWELVE for it." "It is worth twelve." "It has TWO legs, Frida.""
HNDL-R "Rusty"
Handling drone
".- .. -.. ." Maintenance chirp, non-verbal. Filed as noise.
INTERNAL AUDIT · ACCESS RESTRICTED
The Auditor
An entity is currently on the floor. It stands at a seeded position, observes the nearest Handler, and leaves within five minutes of the hour. It files no report that we can read.
AUDIT INTERNAL · NO ENTITY ON RECORD THIS CYCLE.
Specimen 000, "Patient Zero". An old hexapod, on campus since before the Incident, which is not a date the corporation recognises. Sleeps against the basin. Wakes at the top of the hour. Growls at exactly one thing.
The entity keeps office hours. Five minutes, every hour, on the hour.
Sector 00 stays sealed. Season 2 is not a recognised designation either.
